i feel like i'm eating dust here.

so as i'm reading through the "what are my chances" threads, all the kids have amazing backgrounds, doing research with famous professors, elected president of 12 different clubs and teams, captaining 9 different sports teams, winning 3 scholarships, and, i dunno, finding a cure for alzheimers...

and i'm just thinking, "am i fighting a lost battle?"
i feel like i have nothing compared to these people...
i've been in debate since freshman year, i've enjoyed doing meaningful volunteer work with african war refugees since the summer after 9th grade, and i'm involved (minimally, to be honest >.<) in the basic clubs like FBLA, Interact, Science Olympiad, and Beta...

i have the same grades as these other people, but i'm starting to feel like i'm falling behind. way behind. am i right? do i have any chance if i apply to the same prestigious colleges those superhuman-students are applying to?

superhuman students are pretty much the norm ;)

You have plenty of chance. Colleges don't care about laundry lists, and just remember how many people don't post here.
