I feel like I'm making a mistake just like my friend did for a career

I just don’t like how money is made, I want millions not working by the hourly.

To me a career is all about massive amount of income. Really become too impatient on waiting for it to happen.

Most people don’t make millions.

Most people are happy if they can support themselves and any partner or children they have.

And, unfortunately, just based on statistics, the majority of us are “most people” even if we wish we weren’t.

The vast majority of people don’t make millions, to be able to support yourself somewhat comfortably in a career you can tolerate is a pretty lofty goal.

Waiting for it to happen doesn’t make it happen. Many people would love to have large sums of money. I get you don’t seem to care for the typical employment situation and would.just prefer to start making large sums of money. That’s just not the reality for the majority. Most people that make a lot of money work very hard to get where they are. It’s a fact of life.

Throughout your many posts on this site you seem to just want the easiest way to make a lot of money. I’m not sure anyone here can actually help you. Hard work will pay off in the end. Life isn’t always easy. No one is just going to give you everything. Get your degree and get a job.

OP- some jobs are so gratifying that they compensate for not paying millions.

I wouldn’t trade my life for anyone’s right now. I have friends who have retired early and can’t seem to fill their days- they want me to join them for yoga- heck, I have a job, I’m not doing yoga at 10 am on a Tuesday. They can’t travel the way they want to because of Covid (one got stuck in a fleabag hotel in Turkey for 10 days under government quarantine- not doing that again!)

You may find working- even at a job that doesn’t pay millions- very gratifying. Interesting colleagues, developing an in-demand skills, professional advancement- all of these can be worth more than a bigger paycheck once you’ve covered off rent, food, health insurance, the occasional vacation or luxury.

You can’t go down the “why am I not rich” rabbit hole before you’ve even started your first job- just not a productive way to launch.

Wow! I’m impressed that you already can predict that your mind will be blank once you finish up. Me and my friends, at graduation, were EUPHORIC! Our families looked on with pride! We were so stoked that we had degrees and could do anything. I took a break and went to Hawaii with graduation gift money!

Maybe, because you’ve taken so long to get out of a CC, you are finally realizing that it takes work and sacrifice. You have seemed to try to follow your friend’s life because you seem to base everything on what your friend does. How about focusing on you, your studies and your goals, and letting these take you as far as you can go?
Eventually, our degrees excite us about our future possibilities. You have to create your opportunities.

Nothing makes me happy unless there’s millions involved. I really don’t want to work all my life, I wanna retire at the age of 35 or 40.

Im starting to question the sincerity of this post. Millions within a few years and retire? With no clear path? That is so unlikely.

Exactly.

If you cant make one dollar, you cant make a million dollars. If you have a goal with no plan, its useless.

Op is almost 30 and has already wasted a decade of earning potential yet wants to retire in 5 years even though they have done nothing.

This mental health issue is above and beyond CC’s paygrade.

May I suggest pursuing a job as a social media personality or sex worker. Perhaps look into selling real estate or begin to play the lottery regularly.

What would you do all day if you could retire at age 35? Figure out a career that gets you close to that.

I have a friend who LOVED planning her wedding, loved helping friends come up with creative ideas for anniversary parties, surprise birthday parties, etc. She is now an event planner with a large luxury hotel chain-- and gets budgets of hundreds of thousands of dollars (the Oscar’s After-Party- trust me, they aren’t skimping on floral arrangements!). Needless to say- she loves her job.

So what do YOU love? figure out how to do that for a living! I suspect you will like working a lot more than you think you will.

This is an unrealistic goal. But, if you have any chance of making it happen, you have to take one day at a time and start working. No other way to get to your goal than working and earning money.

Crooked politicians haven’t done a single day of work in their life, yet they steal people’s tax money easily, look at their nice million mansions and their bank accounts are filled to the top.

I’ve worked in retail for almost 4+ years and I’m surprised I held 3 retail jobs and living rent free at the age of 17 managing my friends property, and was a news reporter for college for 5 months plus 9 years of YouTube experience lol. Those jobs never made me happy.

I forgot to mention only thing that makes me happy is dentistry and anesthesiologist, I always forgot to add details, have to be calm when typing.

Those two paths are a bigger time consumption then a 4 year uni,
medical school and after that residency and huge amount of debt.

What specifically about dentistry and anesthesiology appeal to you?

Perhaps OP could go to school for dental hygiene or surgical technology then meet and marry a dentist or anesthesiologist? Both of those career paths are associates degrees.

Radiology technology or ultrasoundagraphy are good too. You can meet lots of doctors that way.

Onlyfans, bartenders, and strippers make decent money as well.

Nurse anesthetists seem to make a very good salary!

True but a CRNA path includes nursing school (which is quite a bit of work), then at least 2 years of full time work as an ICU nurse, then applying for CRNA school which is expensive and intense. That is more work that OP wants to do.

Everything about anesthesiology & dentistry  I know there’s lot’s of specialties but everything.

Yes, but what specifically? Can you name three things about each that you like (besides the compensation)? Do you like alleviating pain from toothaches or getting rid of cavities or helping people have healthier gums or sparkling smiles?

Do you like helping people have safe surgical operations?

Thanks for the clarification.
