I forgot to send in my SAT scores

I applied to 6 schools last night to make the nov 1st ea deadline and didn’t realize I needed to send my scores, I thought the self-reporting was enough and that the college board just verifies it. I don’t know. I’ve never put so much work into something in my entire life, are my chances ruined? I ordered the rush service to send them

Many colleges are okay if they come a bit later than the application. They can’t look at all the applications the first day anyway. A few are strict – the website usually says so.

Many schools will let standardized test scores come in later (in fact, some will even let you take the Nov. SAT if you send the scores directly to them).

You might want to call admissions and/or shoot them an email self-reporting the scores and telling them that they’ve been sent.

For some schools, self report is good enough until matriculated. For most other schools, you need to submit official score reports. However, many schools have a separated deadline or a grace period for support documents. You need to look up for each school you applied.

Relax. Most colleges are going to be filing documents for weeks after deadline.

At the moment, the list of schools that will use self-reported scores is small, but growing.

If you are applying to UMich EA, they want everything by 11/1 unless you have previous score submitted while pending for new one.
