Sounds as if you’re not yet at the point where you have to worry about med school applications. Finishing your prereqs, if not your degree, doing well on the MCAT, and getting in at least some of your clinical, research, etc hours all need to happen first, before you apply

Having received a bone marrow transplant is not in and of itself something that should prevent you from applying to medical school. However, I would imagine that your own experience of illness and medical care are going to make it into your application essay, somehow. I would imagine that the admissions committee might wonder whether someone who has had a bone marrow transplant would be able to withstand the stress of medical school and residency.

I suggest that you have an honest, frank discussion with your MD oncologist. That person knows what it took to get through med school and residency, and also knows what life will be like for you as a recipient of a bone marrow transplant, over the next decade or so, and whether or not it is feasible to plan for becoming an MD.

You might want to consider healthcare careers that do not require such stressful training years.

I’m truly trying to be helpful - you will need to work on your writing and communication skills in order to be successful. I realize it’s “just the internet,” but it’s hard to follow your posts.
