When one applies to colleges, all he or she has to do is self report AP scores. Of course not sending in a score sends up a red flag, especially when one's grades are high, but one can choose to not send in a particular score.

I'm sure once you officially send your school all your scores after being accepted, they won't rescind your admission for having one bad AP score.

physics B is hard?
-.- i was planning to self study because i took physics honors, and i have calc ab background...

Ren-
Physics B probably isn't hard if you know what you're doing, which it sounds like you do. You won't need a shred of calculus though. I haven't got my score yet, and although I felt ok my score probably isn't too hot because my physics teacher this year was AWFUL. She really didn't know what she was talking about. If I'd spent the time I had in her class self-studying instead, like you, I probably would have done fine. Don't worry about it.

Physics B is a difficult course even with a great teacher, i struggled through it...I don't think colleges really will punish you...most students have a weak point in their academics.

I got a 1 on Spanish Lang in my junior year, but didn't report it...I still got into Cornell and UF :) the good thing is that you challenged yourself

You got an A in the class, which is more impressive than a 5 on the exam IMO.

AP Exams are for credits, and weren't designed to be used for comparisons in admissions.

Some colleges don't even have a place to put your AP scores on the applications. Just send them your scores after you're accepted if you can and if you even want to.

Yea, none of the colleges I'm applying to even have spots on their applications for AP scores. It's all good. :)

just remove it by calling collegeboard...
when you remove it, the whole score is gone, its not like its going to be physics:removed score, there will be no mention of it like you never took it at all
or just dont mention it on your common application...

i dont think colleges will go through all of your classes and see if you took corresponding AP scores in each of those classes and stuff, especially if you have other good AP scores...and plus colleges dont care about AP scores from what ive heard, they only care after you get accepted...

if your school puts it on your high school transcript (like my school), just ask them to remove it, im pretty sure they will because its not a requirement to put AP scores on the transcript...

oh yea, i was looking at a common application and it seems like it only gives like 6 or so spots for AP tests?? so if you like took more than 6, should you just put your 6 best scores?
