I got a 29..

Composite 29
English 25
Math 36
reading 27
Science 27

This is my first time taking the Act and the score really disappointed me. I would like to know if it's too late to register for the Feb one. And also, is a 29 good enough for NYU?

I would suggest googling the registration dates for the February ACT. After that I would suggest googling the median ACT scores for NYU.

It’s not too late to register for the February ACT. Don’t be disappointed, a 29 is a good score, the national average is 22.

Don’t worry, a 29 is in about the 93rd percentile. And the average ACT score for students at NYU is a 29. Plus, its your first time taking it, and your scores will only increase now. And you seem pretty motivated, which is always a good thing.

I understand your disappointment. Honestly, start studying for english, reading, and science. English is the easiest subscore to raise, and you shouldn’t have trouble raising it to at least a 33 with some studying. Don’t give up hope, you have the capability to do very well on the ACT.
