Got a 31 composite on first try - should i retake

Im a senior, on the october act I got a 31 composite on first try. 36 reading, 35 english, 26 math, 25 science. I was trying for a 32 to get into hopkins, penn or NYU. should i retake it? also does it look bad that i did so poorly on science and math?

Although that is still a good score I would practice the science section more. Someone who does well in Reading shouldn’t have too much trouble with science, so maybe it was a time restraint issue? how much did you study before?

Go for it again. You don’t want to live with any regrets! Plus, a higher score only helps you. Study some more, and retake.

You have a great chance at getting a 34-36 if you bring your math and science up. definitely study and retake

31 is good enough .Don’t retake it and focus on your college essays.

Yeah… December is kinda late. But just try for the heck of it.
Don’t not study very hard, though, focus on your school work, extracurriculars, and essays.

thanks for the responses everyone. so i think im gonna take it again, but how can i bring up my science and math? before this act i went through the barrons math and it obviusly didnt do me nuch good. Also what if i end up doing worse on reading and english??

think positive. have faith. you are the boss. nothing is more important. except studying.
