<p>Retake it if you are interested in the sciences. After all, a 740 is about 75th percentile, and that will not impress any school that is asking for SATIIs. Even an 800 is only about 89th percentile.</p>

<p>Obviously 800 would be the preferred score; you need to get as close to that as possible. Improving by 10-20 points would have little impact.</p>
