I got a B+ in all my Honors courses this year, is that bad?

Is that bad? I’m in ninth grade going into tenth grade. If I would’ve taken all regular classes I know I would’ve gotten an A in all the classes. By B+ I mean some of my grades were like an 89% or 88% (but I don’t thnk that means anything, right?

By the way, I took three honors classes: English, Math, and History. Do you think colleges will look at my getting a B+t this as a bad thing? For tenth grade I’m taking APUSH, honors chemistry and all the other honors I took. (If I push or honors chemistry is too hard for me I may drop out in one of them early in the year) If I can make an improvement in my honors classes, like getting an A or A- in some of them, will it make up for the ninth grade?

Having strong grades is definitely important, but colleges also want to see that you’re challenging yourself. If you take the easiest classes available to you, it doesn’t mean that much that you get great grades in those classes. It’s better to take the most difficult classes you can (while not driving yourself crazy in the process…).

Are your honors classes weighted at all? If they are, a B+ will be given the same weight as an A in your GPA.

Additionally, colleges like to see that you’re improving. If you continue to get strong or even stronger grades through 10th, 11th, and 12th grade, they probably won’t mind a few B+s in difficult classes freshman year.
