So I have a 32 ACT (33 superscored) and a 3.9W with a downward trend.

My extracurriculars were rather lackluster, yet I ended up getting 69K in scholarships from NYU. Nearly 50K from CAS and the rest from some diamond scholarship thing…

How was this possible? A hardship involving one of my parents occurred my junior and senior year, but we’re fine now.

Im confused because I thought NYU was stingy with funding. And it’s not like they had to convince me to come since it was ED… And my stats aren’t by any means perfect… A FULL RIDE? WHAT!!! I’m excited though. But like… what…

They may have misinterpreted your economic standing, or you may have incorrectly reported it. If it’s the prior, just hope they don’t catch the mistake, and enjoy your scholarship! Congrats!

I only got like 9300 dollars for the full year… NYU is so unfair haha, but anyways congrats! I would be so happy if I’m in ur place

If 2014 and 2015 were bad financial years and now you’re fine then I guess you lucked out… We’re in the opposite situation so I guess it won’t be pretty.
