Recently I have been accepted to UT Dallas, but it says “Academic Career: undergraduate” and “Program: undergraduate.” Whereas, Texas A&M said “Welcome to the College of Science as a major in Biology.” I am wondering if I major in Biology in UTD, will they put me in the “School of Natural Science and Mathematic” to obtain a degree in Biology too or? I’m not sure how this works. I put my major as Biology in UTD, they didn’t have an area to pick which college I prefer like Texas A&M. Texas A&M had the College of Science. UTD just asked for the major.
Normally you would specify the college you are applying to on your application.
You declare your major when you get to school, choosing any program offered by your college.
Actually they did give an option and I did pick The College of Natural Science and Mathematics. So because UTD didn’t specify a certain college, I’ll just have to pick my program later that matches my major at the college?
*** MY BAD! I did pick The College of Natural Science and Mathematics and a major of Biology. I just got “Academic Career: Undergraduate” and “Program: Undergraduate.” but a&m put my in college of natural sciences. Sorry if my reply confuses people. I edited the first sentence without looking at the rest. I want to understand why a&m put me in the college of science and UTD just said “undergraduate.”
