I got accepted But.....

hey,

My first acceptance is IIT this year.
I was so glad....

But The scholarship is just $9000 per year...
And have to pay about $27K per year.
This is sth impossible for me....
Is there any chance that they will increase my award?
If no then I am leaving it. But it was my top choice college.
Feeling so Bad.. :'(

Hi! I go to IIT.

Can you get federal aid? (FAFSA)

Loans through the school (I use Citibank, but I hear that Chase is good, and their reps are on campus a lot)

You can work during school to get a start on paying off your loans etc (a lot fo students work for the school in some capacity, and a lot work off-campus.) I have two jobs on-campus.

additional scholorships (check out the Leadership Academy full scholarships) so you'll only have to get loans for your first year. Leadership Academy at Illinois Institute of Technology

It's worth it. I've toured a dozen colleges, and IIT is the best (for me). ^_^

Also: MyFoxChicago

Thanks,
But i am an international student. I cant fill up FAFSA.

ANd LA Scholarship is available to only those who have completed at least one semister at IIT.
I just got accepted. Can i apply?

Are there any athletic scholarships in IIT?
I am a Soccer Player( A-DIvision League Player of My country)

What are other scholarships that I can apply?

http://athletics.iit.edu/
make sure to check out the Recruiting forms at http://athletics.iit.edu/admissions.php
Here's the one for mens soccer: http://athletics.iit.edu/pdfs/soccer_m_recruiting.pdf

Also you should contact the Office of Multicultural Student Services at
http://omss.iit.edu/ because they can probably give you good advice. :)

Sorry, but international students generally get the shaft when it comes to financial aid, with the exception of some top universities. You can always appeal a financial aid decision especially if you were given more money elsewhere at a comparible school.

Bro, what was your GPA and SAT score? As well as extracurriculars? Thanks! @kCcer
