hahahah... Well, soon enough you'll know... best of luck to you!!!!

Your post scared me.

College puts me on edge.

Me TOO! Last night. It was really fantabulous. And then I woke up.

Haha. Aww.

Soon!

AHH i think uchicago is goign to be my first letter that i recieve

they were supopsed tobe mailed today, but because of power failure yesterday, do u think they'd mail it tomorrow?
then i might receive the letter this weekend, or monday at the latest.

but i feel like i want to get all my letters in the mail before opening any of them from order of least likely to get in to most likely (generally, from lowest to highest admittance rates)
it'll be like opening CHRISTMASPRESENTS IN SPRING!

except i will probably get more "coal" (rejection) than actual "gifts" (acceptances)

and besides i dont think i have the patience to wait for all 8 letters to arrive in the mail.

That is quite an interesting idea.

Huh. It's worth at least some consideration, though I highly doubt I'll do it. Plus, the size of the envelope thing and the fact that some schools are emailing me.

I'm expecting Chicago to be my first, as well. I hope it's an acceptance; getting a rejection letter first would be tough. And, you know, I want to get in!

I've also heard that the letters take a while to reach their destinations. I was aiming for Friday or Saturday, but now I'm thinking it will probably be next week.

this thread made me smile. Best of luck to all you freshmen hopefuls in the coming week!! I'm a similarly nervous transfer applicant....God knows when they'll be finished processing our apps :P I'm living abroad now, too, so that just makes the waiting period longer!

Reminder: The letter is sent through UPS meaning that its only Monday - Friday delivery.

ah darn then i'll hav to wait after the weekend to receive my letters

does chicago's acceptance envelopes look different from the rejection ones lol? like do most schools usually have differnet envelopes for accepted students? (like a humongous big envelope) i guess it'd depend on the college.

then that would kind of defeat the purpose of my "wait til i recieve all 8 college letters before opening them" plan -_-;;;;

im trying not to loko up my decisions on line . its like 105901 ^10000 times worse than checking my SAT scores, which gave me quite a difficult time.
plus checking my stanford decision online just killed me and i nearly had a heart attack waiting for the page to load T_T

The envelopes are standard 8 x 11, but they're quite nice...I won't spoil it for you guys about their aesthetic qualities, but they won't be mistaken for anything else, be sure of that.

im lucky. just a few days ago i got a letter from nyu and a few weeks ago got one from uf. i am 2 for 2 so far. chicago will probably kill my record though

I'm 7 for 7 on regular admissions (0/1 ED)...hope Chicago doesn't break that chain, since it's coming next. >_>

I think I'll also go with the wait till all letters arrive theory. Or so I say.

UPS is faster though, right?

i don't want to get an email whines :(:(:(

just don't check your e-mail and wait for the letter

i wish i could...but i'll lose some sales if i don't check the mail everyday.

you could always block the address

This is beginning to be like when I get a test I think I did badly on back. I tell myself that I'm not going to look at it...but I always end up doing so...45 seconds later. No matter what, it's never as bad when I look at it in the face.

...and I just sort of personified a piece of paper. Characterized by a number.
