I got an A+, what does it mean?

I got it in my math class. It's still just a 4.0, right? Is there any benefit to an A+? How rare are A+'s?

Thanks

It's simply a 4.0.

If you're bschool, I believe it's worth 4.3.

Anyway, it says right next to the grade how many points its worth on wolverine access.

actually 4.4 if you are in ross

kinda lame you dont get extra points, but congrats

oops. wrong post -.- sorry.

we should make a petition to have it as a 4.3 or 4.4 in lsa, because i'm annoyed about this as well.

actually, i'm not sure if you're annoyed about it but i'm going to proceed anyways.

haha, sounds good to me

Actually, you don't want A+'s to count as a 4.3/4.4 . Employers and grad schools generally consider what your GPA is relative to the maximum possible GPA. So all you'd be doing is devaluing the lower grades. This is especially a problem if you're taking a class from a professor that just doesn't give out A+'s (they don't really know/care how the GPA system works), because if you have above a 4.0, no matter how well you do in that class your GPA will go down.

^^Agreed. Also, if A+s counted for more, the school would get just that much more competitive. It definitely should not count for more.
