I got an acceptance letter.. but

Well, I wasn't really serious when I turned it in.. It was a school my friend wanted to get it and the application was free to submit. (no fees, no essays... Half submitted it as a joke)

I wrote with three different color pens and wrote it on my knee. =_=;; I didn't even have time to send in a transcript... Somehow, I got in (low level university, I guess)

They are even giving me a scholarship.... Anyways. I have no intention of really going there, but it's my last backup, I suppose.

So, what do you do when you made your decision where to go and want to reject the others (like this one)? They didn't give me any instructions and I was curious....

I sent a letter stating my decision.

Basically what I said was:

I'm writing in regards to your admission to the nameofprogram at nameofcollege.

I have decided to withdraw my application. I am going to be attending nameofcollege.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Regards,
Your Name

The universal decision date for the colleges is April 1st. You then have until May 1st to pick your college and inform them. There is no need to turn anyone down before May 1st.
