Accepted now. I thought it'd be later.

I was caught off guard today when I received an acceptance letter from Clemson University. I am overjoyed but a bit perplexed because I was under the impression that Early Action applicants would hear back on February 15. I even double-checked their website just now and it said this. It was a more than pleasant surprise, but for the sake of curiosity I'd love to know why I got a decision early. Thanks for any help!

And I would post on the Clemson specific forums but it is kind of dead there.

Congrats :)

When’d you apply?

I mean it doesn’t even matter! You’re going to college

I applied in September.

There are at least a few other colleges that have started mailing acceptance letters in the last few weeks too.

Clemson is a great school and great value with excellent job placement for graduates. Ignore ivycool and congrats!

Interesting that this statement came from someone who cannot even spell “because” correctly.

Nothing prevents a school from giving a decision earlier than the promised date.

If u can please post you scores so i can compare as i to am applying to clemson too and i have an alumini relation.

Congrats! My son was accepted early also. He ultimately didn’t attend but it was nice. Clemson is a great school.
