Congrats! (char)

Nice job, when did you apply? LSA?

they haven't even gotten my SATs yet....:(

I got in!
Applied to UM engineering
3.9 (um GPA)
31 ACT
2110 SAT (M:760 V:620 W:730)

congratulations!

um, does anyone know if they're posting rejections/deferrals on wolverine access as well?

Congrats to all of you who have been accepted. Many more of you will be getting acceptances. Be patient and good things will happen. I hope you all become Wolverines come May, 2006. Hehe

Thats great, congrats to everyone! You are all lucky. I dont think they've gotten all my stuff yet :( I am so scared.

Pooter, Michigan does not turn down many applicants at this stage. If an applicant is a clear no-no (under a 3.0 GPA with low stadardized tests), then a turn down is possible, but most decisions at this state will be admit or differ.

I'm anxiously awaiting my deferral...

Congratulations! Did you get the email? This year they are letting students know via email, and putting admit status on wolverine access so students can verify their admission after getting the email (so some jerk doesn't, say, forward the email as a joke). But i wasn't sure they had it all up and running yet.

Will every one be notified over the internet or it is a trial thing for a select few?

To clarify, everyone will be sent a letter, as always. But it is my understanding that this year they are rolling out a program to send admitted students an email, also. I assume it was for all students who were admitted to LSA, Engin, Kines, and Nursing, but I am not sure of that.

So if I wasn't notified this weekend and I applied Sept. 9th, I'm probably going to have to wait a while?

It generally goes week by week. They send out decisions each week. Everyone whose app is completed and has been evaluated by that day is part of the pool. If they don't act on your application, then you're in the pool for the next week.

Also, it's not just when you applied but when your application was complete. Someone who applied later than you may get an earlier decision is theirs was completed before yours.

Well, my file was complete on 9/19 and there are people saying that they applied on 9/29 and have already been admitted. I hate being such a prick about this, but I'm just a little disappointed I didn't hear back even though deep down I know I shouldn't be.

At the risk of being labled a nutcase because I'm obsessed with knowing all I can about how admissions works, do you when admissions meets to make decisions everyweek and how soon after being decided upon is a candiate notified?

Icicle, when u say submitted 9/19 u mean ur last thing was "received" in the "view credentials"?

I am waiting to see if they received anything - but did everyone get sent a wolverine access ID number through the email?

I never received one...and I really want wolverine access so I don't have to bother them and call them.

I also am really confused about Wolverine Access. Was I supposed to have gotten my name and pw in my confirmation email after I submitted? HELP! I want to check my status to see if my teacher sent the rec in yet b/c he doesnt work at my school and he emails very slowly.

Just saw on Wolverine Access that they will e-mail this info to you no earlier than 10 business days after you submitted your app, or 2 weeks. That's when they will either A) E-Mail you your UM ID number, or B) You request a UM ID number.
