Your national concern is why NBA players get paid too much?

YOu better be an expert writer if you want to really pull that one off..

THe soong idea seems a bit vague also....

Regrettably, the 8 weeks is not going to be the upper limit for some applicants. Last year some had to wait longer. This year I predict the same. Maybe more of the same.

I checked my status on Wolverine Access a few minutes ago, and it just says my application is complete. The latest piece of the application was my Teacher rec. which was received on Sept. 29. I don't know when I will find out....argh, waiting sucks. :(

Woo...just got my acceptance...must have been within the last 12 hours..
so everyone, maybe they did a "batch" within teh last 12 hours!

so...now that im acceptaed but still not sure to enroll...should i not click "respond now"...also...are there any financial aid forms due before Feb 1st?

I am really starting to worry, seeing as I applied Sept. 9th and was fully recieved by Sept. 19th. I know they say no news is good news, but in this scenario I certainly do not feel like that's the case. It's after 5 now too so it's unlikely that I'll have anything updated on WA now and also this was prolly the day that they did decisions this week... :-(

Yeah, a senior in my French class last year had to wait so long that she finally gave up on it even though it was her first choice. And she was the senior class's president for, I think, all of high school.

if i send in my application online in the beginning of december, will be chances be lower than sending it in Now? i havent even started it yet, im working on essays
also for financial aid, does applying earlier increase your chances of getting more financial aid?

umm, obviously, your chance would be quite a bit lower. why not just do it now?

i better get started

wait wait, i'm completely new to UMich, but why did they send out acceptances in the middle of october? when ddi you guys apply?

Michigan is Rolling Admissions. They review applications as they receive them. The earlier you apply, the better chances you have, as there are more spots open.

If I apply this weekend, how long should I expect to wait?

33 ACT, 4.0 GPA, top 1% class rank

due who cares how long u ^^ have to wait? ur stats will definetly get u in

dsmo, if you apply now, you can expect an acceptance (most likely) sometime before Christmas.

My daughter visited this weekend and paid the non-refundable deposit!! She simply cannot imagine going anywhere else. So she will be a Wolverine! I must say Alexandre is a magnificent recruiter - and I even find myself wondering why I didn't consider University of Michigan more seriously more than twenty-five years ago!! I am going to have to get used to the Michigan sticker on my car - it will proudly join the stickers of the two schools I attended. I am so excited for her because she seems so happy - and that is all that counts.

Mam, your daughter made a great choice. I canot think of a better place to spend 4 years.

Hey, I was recently admitted to U-M. Woohoo! I am really interested in pre-med, and conducting research at Michigan. This question is for Alexandre. Do you know if U-M gives undergrads many opportunities to do research with scientists, and how good it is at placing students in medical schools? I have heard of the UROP program, which sounds interesting to me. Could you elaborate on it, if you know about it? Thanks!

When were you accepted standford?

Stanford_Dude, Michigan gives more research opportunities to undergrads (per student) than any university in the nation. UROP (Undergraduate Research Opportunity) is a great program that gives Freshmen and Sophomores the opportunity to do research right off the bat. As Freshmen, most of the projects are repetitive and task oriented, but by Sophomore year, students get to do some serious research.

As for medical school placement, like most state universities, Michigan cannot stop its student from applying to medical school. As such, you get many 2.5-3.0 students applying to med schools and that lowers the med school placement rate. Overall, I would say Michigan places roughly 60% of applicants into medical school. But if you look at students with 3.3+ GPAs, I would say the number swells to close to 100% admit rate into med school. Michigan Medical school alone accepts over 50 Michigan students annually. That's 10% of the undergrads who apply to medical school. So, iff you have an excellent GPA (3.6+) and a good MCAT score (11+), you will most likely get into a top medical school. If you have a good GPA (3.3+) and a solid MCAT (10+), you will most likely get into a respectable medical school.

I sent in all my application materials around 9/19, but I'm applying for musical theatre so I have to audition on November 18th and then WAIT! Ugh. I want to go here so bad and it's killing me that I'm going to have to wait another 6-8 weeks after THAT! Just thought I'd vent:)
