Fat envelope, red folder

congrats you guys!!! :)

EEEK!! I'm getting white hairs from the suspense.
The financial aid info included in the acceptance package... are they more forms to fill out or do they give the final decisions on aid?

I hope I get in and I hope I get the $$$

No more forms. Three stapled pages of finaid included.

Well, I had more forms.

But that's 'cos I haven't sent in all my fin aid stuff yet...

I just got my letter and a whole load of money from them. It's one of my top choices so it's really exciting.

Congratulations to all who have gotten in so far!

Why did you guys receive your letters so early?

i got in too!

i got in!!!

People who got accepted: Does it come in just a regular envelope or a folder w/ stuff inside etc.?

It comes in a big red folder with a Wesleyan logo on it, a letter from the dean saying you are accepted, a brochure about Middletown, some financial aid stuff, a white sticker that says WES, and a thing you have to mail back to Wesleyan saying yes you want to attend or no you don't.

Does anybody else have handwritten stuff on the bottom of the actual acceptance letter? Near the signature, there's some stuff that I think says "yes!" and maybe "come to wes"?!?!

Have any non-minorities received decisions yet?

Shenhao, that highlights one of the best things about a small liberal arts school: they're really able to get to each individual student. You don't get lost in red tape and administration, like at a school such as NYU. There are other advantages of larger schools, of course, but I quite like it this way =)

Shenhao, I got "Yes!!" too. It was nice to see it!

Well, I got notice and I count Asians as non-minorities but then again I live in the Bay Area.

No word yet for a non-minority in the midwest.

I got in and it said "Yes" and "Come to Wes". My Finaid package left a lot to be desired, I'm going to be calling them about it after I hear back from other schools. I'm really happy about this one, I really like wes :-)

Sadly, the invitation to Campus was for students of 'colour'. I really don't like that. Can't they just call it diversity day or something? I thought we stopped saying people of "Colour" a while ago, even though it is PC, it's rather annoying.
Just my take, and an awesome acceptance :-)

I called and they said that we will probably get decisions after April 1st and if not by April 5th, then to call the admissions office. I love how much i'm stressing about this. I check my email like 15 times a day to see if there is any new information on application results. I probably check the mail atleast 3 times a day.

I think some of us heard back early because we either got accepted faster and/or because we're the diverse students they want to hold on to.
There was a letter inside my acceptance from the sr. who I interviewed with, and he dated the letter for march 30th haha. I got the package on the 20th, how's that for time travel?

Hehe.

yeah it's just minorities, we will have to wait till after april 1 :(
