I got in!!!

I got my acceptance letter today!

"Dear ******,

Congratulations! It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the admission committee and the Wesleyan faculty, to offer you admission to the Class of 2014. You are among the first group of students to be notified of your regular decision..."

Anyway, I'm pretty damn excited right now. I thought I wouldn't get in. They also attached a personal note on the letter.
The acceptance packet was small sized, but thick. It has the words "WELCOME TO WESLEYAN".

Who else got in?

Congrats! Your username is pretty appropriate.

(Joking, joking, I love Wes.)

Congratulations!
Don’t you just love those words! I’m happy for you.

PS: your user name really does with your comment: *“I thought I wouldn’t get in.” *

Thanks, guys.

Heh, they’re also offering me one hell of a grant. On top of that, I don’t have any loans.

I think Wesleyan won me over. :D

Did you recieve an email too?

@ Confused92

No, I didn’t receive an e-mail.
I think most prestigious colleges send their decisions by mail only.

Not necessarily, DidIMakeAMistake. Wesleyan sends electronic notifications, then later mails letters only to those who were accepted.

From the Wesleyan website:

“Wesleyan notifies all applicants electronically for all admission decisions. Related materials will be mailed to students who are admitted, deferred or waitlisted. For those students whose applications are denied, letters are available on-line only.”

It sounds like you received your letter because you got an “early write.” Most RD applicants still have to wait about two more weeks for their notifications. But, regardless, congratulations! WELCOME TO WESLEYAN 2014!

@ Think2014

Thanks. I look forward to attending Wesleyan. Hahahahaha… I’m still shaking out of excitement.

just wondering do you think international students are more likely to get in since they pay more and don’t get as much financial aids?

@DidIMakeAMistake

You have a good reason to be shaking with excitement! That’s exactly how I felt when I got accepted ED2. I just glanced at the first word (“Congratulations!”), and immediately started jumping up and down.

And I’m glad that you’re happy with your financial aid grant (I’m really happy with mine, too). Again, congratulations!

WESLEYAN '14!
