Congratulations! It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the admission committee and the Wesleyan faculty, to offer you admission to the Class of 2014. You are among the first group of students to be notified of your regular decision..."

Anyway, I'm pretty damn excited right now. I thought I wouldn't get in. They also attached a personal note on the letter.
The acceptance packet was small sized, but thick. It has the words "WELCOME TO WESLEYAN".

Not necessarily, DidIMakeAMistake. Wesleyan sends electronic notifications, then later mails letters only to those who were accepted.

From the Wesleyan website:

“Wesleyan notifies all applicants electronically for all admission decisions. Related materials will be mailed to students who are admitted, deferred or waitlisted. For those students whose applications are denied, letters are available on-line only.”

It sounds like you received your letter because you got an “early write.” Most RD applicants still have to wait about two more weeks for their notifications. But, regardless, congratulations! WELCOME TO WESLEYAN 2014!

You have a good reason to be shaking with excitement! That’s exactly how I felt when I got accepted ED2. I just glanced at the first word (“Congratulations!”), and immediately started jumping up and down.

And I’m glad that you’re happy with your financial aid grant (I’m really happy with mine, too). Again, congratulations!
