<p>I recently send an e-mail to ask about my transcript and application status and today I got an e-mail back saying the following:</p>

<p>I have great news! You’ve been admitted to Binghamton University for the Fall 2008 semester. Your decision will soon be available at the online status checker (use your social security number for a User ID and your date of birth for a pin: MMDDYY).</p>

<p>Please let me know if you have any questions!</p>

<p>SOOO happy..Binghamton is now my top option!!</p>

I got this email today:</p>

<p>Thank you for your interest in Binghamton University. We are continuing to process applications/credentials and will inform you if additional information is necessary. Once your file becomes complete it will be reviewed and a decision made. You should be able to check your status online using your SSN or 9-digit assigned number as your BU ID and your PIN, which is set to your birthdate (MMDDYY). Your patience is appreciated during this very busy processing time.</p>

<p>You better not be making things up. Because then I'll totally be annoyed. Even more so than I am for you finding out already. When did you submit your application?! September?!!?!? lol</p>

<p>I dont know yet Zouman! Binghamton is very cheap for OOS and is a great school. But as cheap as it is the cost of attendance still comes out to be around 21k which is still too much. I will wait for my financial aid reports and possible scholarships before making a decision. Which means I probably wont know till like april...</p>

<p>I am awaiting possible scholarships and financial aid at OSU, Got postponed at UW- Madison and at U of Minnesota, got accepted to Stony brook also but the fact im into binghamton pretty much eliminates stony brook. Also applied and got into a few others but we'll wait and see. As of right now though Binghamton looking like a great option! :)</p>

<p>Well I am not really dissmissing it yet because I want to find out more and go visit. But Binghamton is better overall with more opportunties. Although Stony brook is a good research school and a good sciences school and that's what im intrested in. But I heared a lot of negatives about stony brook like unfriendly student population, dorms suck, lots of commuters etc.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how good Binghamton is considered with sciences and medical research? Is it better than stony brook in that regard?</p>

<p>D was accepted yesterday, too. Read your status carefully, since it is hard to find. No e-mail or anything. But obviously they are getting decisions out before Jan 15! Good luck everyone.</p>

<p>Just to make sure does application admitted mean that you are in? It is just worded wierd. It should probably say applicant admitted.</p>

<p>I hope so! I submitted my application back in October, so hopefully I'll get some type of response soon. Over the past few days I've been obsessively checking my email and the status checker. I don't think it's good for my health. Haha!</p>
