i am soooo happy i was afraid that even though i got the new student tab for some reason i would be rejected....well anyways i really excited
does anyone know what the tuition will be for the fall semester??

I got it, too! I was getting pretty nervous. See everyone next fall!

same :) yayyy

:) :) :) :) :)

FINALLY AK!!! You can get rid of all that paranoia!!!!

hahaha Rabasu!! youre so right

Welcome to Stony Brook University. Make sure to get all your deposits in asap, so you will have priority on housing, and such.

Also if you have any questions about which quad is the best, or what you would like in a quad, pm me. Chris might not like my opinions about them :P.

i still haven't gotten anything...

I submitted my app on haloween, and all my other materials were in by mid-november, still haven't received a reply. when I log into SOLAR it says my app willbe reviewed shortly. SOLAR is where you check your admission status, right? lol

@ Tbellx12: Yes, that is where you check your status.

My application was "COMPLETE" by 11/18:
() Application (+ payment), teacher/counselor recommendations, and HS transcript submitted by 11/15 using Common Application.
() SAT score submitted online from College Board by 11/18

The application status is still the "will be reviewed shortly" message. Any idea if it changes if you've been deferred/denied rather than accepted?

It will say if you are accepted/denied where it says reviewed.

**"Your application has been received and will be reviewed shortly.[/b[
Office of Undergraduate Admissions

....still nothing as of 12:01 eastern time today damn it.

You guys need to calm down, seriously, it's not the end of the world...........................................................

actually yes it is. I know how nerve racking it is to wait to get accepted into your #1 choice.

Ak, I was in your situation as well. SBU was my #1 school, and I was so nervous for like 2 months until I got my answer. You need to do what I did, just wait and hope for the best, don't looking and thinking "OMFG IT DIDN'T CHANGE, I DIDN'T GET IN, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!1"

I'm not saying it's the end of the world it's just comiing close to the January 1 decision deadline and still no decision

IT does not mean you wont know after January 1st, that is around when they do them, you do not have to worry, just breathe and calm down... If it does not change by January first it does not mean you didn't get in. When it says you are accepted/declined, then you know your answer.

I've been in your position, so don't worry.

just got mine. checked solar after reading thru this post. thanks for the tip.
