The average "UF GPA" is 4.1, I think. And that's basically all they look at. Your weighted GPA in high school doesn't matter, it's mostly core courses.

But dang, I'm in-state too and I have similar stats.... Sorry you didn't get in =(

well, I called the Admissions Office this morning and all they would say was, "No decisions are final until Friday at 6 pm," and they would neither confirm or deny that I was accepted. So I guess after this whole incident happened they've still gotta keep everything on the DL for the next 24 hours.

I was rejected last year with a 32 ACT, 3.7 UW and 4.0 UF weighted. My private school didn't release rankings, though they kept records of it. Interestingly, EVERYONE in the top 10% was accepted, and EVERYONE outside it was rejected. There was really an obvious cutoff, as if they took how many students were in my class, and accepted exactly 10% of that number. (My class had about 320 students, and they accepted 32.)

Coming from a school that doesn't release its rankings, doing that is almost unfair and destroys the point of "holistic admissions," but these things happen I guess, especially from a school that gets so many applications every year and just doesn't have the budget (especially now) or the time to take a detailed look at each one.

Though I got rejected, I was admitted to schools that were just as competitive but the nature of their admissions process or school size would, as a result, cause a more detailed review of each application. Like UM, where I was offered a Dean's Scholarship, which would have covered half my tuition.

I'm 99.99999% (repeating) sure that this is fake. Here is the email I received a week or so ago. Its probably a glitch in their system considering how they clearly stated February 13th yet today is February 12th 9: 38 PM Eastern time.
