I just found out that I got into Montclair state!!! I’m so happy.
I know a lot of people here are Ivy-bound, but I honestly really love the school and feel it’s the right fit for me if I choose to go there.

Congrats @jerseygirl188 . So nice to get into the school that just feels right. I am sure you will do very well.
Congratulations
Way to go! Congrats! @jerseygirl188
A lot of people here think they’re Ivy-bound.
Congratulations. My niece is considering Montclair State.
Great! Keep in mind it is not that one gets into the “best” school, but rather that you get into the best school for you.
Congratulations!!!
Thanks everyone!! I know so many people who are stressing out about grades, so if you are, and you’re reading this, you can be successful /without/ going to an Ivy. You can go to a “not good” college and be a doctor or a lawyer or tech mogul if that’s what you really want. You don’t even have to go to four year college to be successful.
I’m still waiting to hear back from other schools (including my early decision choice, TCNJ).
Congrats!!!
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! I’m glad you found a school that fits you
“I honestly really love the school and feel it’s the right fit for me”
That is what matters.
“I know a lot of people here are Ivy-bound”
A lot of people who post on CC want to be ivy bound. Frankly I suspect that many or most of them wouldn’t be happy after six months if they actually got to an Ivy League school because they are looking for prestige (basically an abstract idea), rather than looking for a school that is a good fit for them.
There are a LOT of very good schools in the US. Finding a school that fits You is exactly the right thing. Congratulations!
WooHOO!!! I can hear your enthusiasm! Congratulations!!!
Congrats!!! Montclair was on my daughter’s list (until we decided it would be much cheaper to look at SUNYs). It looks like a wonderful school!!!
Congratulations!
Congrats! Several of my son’s friends are freshmen there and love it! Good luck with TCNJ, another great school!
That first acceptance to a school you would be happy to attend feels great! It takes so much pressure off the rest of the process. Congratulations!
