Colgate, Hamilton College, Bucknell University, George Washington University, RPI, Northeastern, Georgetown

I got accepted to these schools. First rank them in general, than rank them by greatness of economics department if you're able to. Here is how I ranked them, but this is a total guess, and I know basically nothing. I am really desperate, and really, really, really need A LOT of help in narrowing down the list, and eventually choosing one school.

General
1. Georgetown
2. Hamilton College
3. Colgate
4. George Washington
5. Bucknell
6. RPI
7. Northeastern

Greatness of Economics Department

Is financial aid or money an issue? George Washington is one of the most expensive schools in the country.

^No, we can cancel out financial aid for this one, because I will be paying about the same for all the schools. I got a lot of aid from the more expensive schools, and a lot less aid from the the less expensive schools.

Ruling out money and considering your major I would second optisrule.

Oh, wow, I didn't know Georgetown was this incredibly awesome in economics? Are you sure it's even better than Bucknell?

Also, I've heard the co-op program really helps economics students a lot when later trying to get a job in such fields as investment banking. Is this true?

you got into georgetown and have to THINK about going there????????????????????

uhm, i don't know about economics specifically. but georgetown is the best overall, by far

GEORGETOWN!!!
I didn't get a chance to apply there because I didn't take the required 3 SAT II's!!!

wow i would choose georgetown anyday. sure the economics dept might be better at bucknell (im just saying, i donno for sure)... but just graduating with a georgetown degree is like wow.

kiddo -- I have a kid at Northeastern and even she would agree that someone who got into Georgetown and Hamilton probably wouldn't be that content at Northeastern. It's just an altogether different heap of beans.

Trust me you'll step on Georgetown's campus and be like ***. If I had to pick a DC school, I'd pick GWU.
