I put down biology for my first choice major and I cant remember the second. I know I did not put down undeclared as my second. But, it doesnt say on my acceptance letter whether I got into those. It just says that I have been accepted to the Warren college.

Will I be able to change into the major of my choice later? What should I do?

Biology is an impacted major, so it’s pretty competitive to get into. However, if you have a high enough GPA by the time junior year rolls around you can officially declare that major.

also, most (if not all) biology classes are open to non-majors since many serve as prereqs for professional health programs. even if you’re not a bio major, you can still take many of the classes. and you don’t need to be a bio major to go to med school or research in biology labs.

-chem major who’s doing a PhD in a biology dept

Oh okay. I will email them and ask just in case, but thanks!! It would suck to go to a college if I can’t do what I want.

I applied for Biology/Microbio(I think?) but was accepted as undeclared.

I guess I’m going to UCLA BIochemistry!

I meet the same problem as u! I applied for Biology/Human as my first choice but was accepted as Undeclared. What’s up with that?

What i wanna know is that is there anyone who accepted as bio major? I just heard from my friend that it seemed that all the applicants who applyed for Bio have to attend a test during their second year and only the person who pass through can choose bio as theri major. But yesterday AO replied me that it seem unlikely for non-bio freshmen to choose bio in later years.
