I got kicked out of a program this summer. What are my chances?

I made the mother of all stupid mistakes this summer, and two days before graduation from a Spanish immersion program, I drank too much and got caught. I was immediately expelled from the program and given no credit for the courses I had taken nor the final.

I hate myself for it. I haven’t drunk since and don’t plan to.

However, I want to know how much it could logically affect my chances.

I still have a 3.94 GPA UW and have taken every honors class available to me (no APs at my school.)

I want to go to a top 20 college. My mock ACT I received a 34.

If you need any other stats, just ask. I’ve never been in trouble in school if that makes a difference.

How will colleges know? Is your problem that they will find out? Or just that you had an unproductive summer?

Are you saying the program was at a college to which you want to apply? And you’re a junior?

If not, don’t worry about it. It’s not on your record. It shouldn’t follow you around when you apply to college.
