Ok, I think I will be at a HUGE disadvantage due to my high school
We have no APs.( I am going to self study for stats and philosophy)
We have 1 club- I am a member
We have no student organizations
We have no student government
My school doesn’t care enough to tell me about contests for high school students
Our yearbook is ran by the faculty (I am thinking because the students dont care enough to help)
Nothing happens at my school

no offense, but you didnt get screwed over by your school, you got screwed over by a lack of initiative. I have taken 4 APs now independantly, just buying the book. Addiontally, why don't you found a club or get invovled with a club like leos outside your school? Why dont you go to a local college to take courses? Your school may not offer a lot, but if you want to succeed in life you need to take individual initiative and stop blaming your school.

no AP philosophy"????????????????????????????????????????

and ya, i found a robotics club, newspaper, yearbook at my school

I am a rising junior, so im planning to self study 2 APs along with 10 high school classes

BTW how do you study APs independantly with the textbook? did you study from the prep book, because i can not imagine how you can study from the text book

Why are you PAYING to go to that school?

I thought it was an ok school, but I had no idea how ****ty it was until I came to CC. And now I can't go to a public school near my house because it's full. The other public schools sucks even more

that it so reminiscent of what my public school tried for my upcoming senior year... (by dropping all the classes I haven't taken yet...)... I'm basically enrolled at 3 schools now.

Go to Virtual High School (govhs.org), for some free AP classes.

I took Physics there, and will be taken Econ next year.

but that classes are good at VHS if you are willing to push yourself... (with independent study, it is easy to be lenient with due dates). but it was great, considering i didnt have other AP options...

I independent-studied AP chem from the textbook. It was a pain in the a** but I hope it will be worth it come July 1 (yes I am calling and paying $8 for something I would eventually get for free).

While many kids have the unforyunate luck to live in a poor school district, it's quite unusual to hear someone who feels he is getting a raw deal from a school his family is paying for. I suppose anything is possible, but schools do expect more initiative from those who have financial options others don't have.
