I Got Screwed!

<p>Well, it looks like I'm not going to Penn State. Just got my financial aid "award"(If you want to call it that) and I am getting $2000 and change for the year.</p>

<p>In other words I am out of state, one of five kids with an older sibling at the very expensive NYU with my parents making a little less than $110,000 per year. </p>

<p>And they expect them to pay almost $29,000. Thanks Penn State.</p>

<p>That 6 figure mark is a killer...My friend is in a family of 6 with an older brother currently at NorthWestern Law, one at Tufts, and one at Georgetown. His parents make about 200,000 combined, but he wants to go to Yale. Thats 4*40,000 for a whopping 160,000 per year cost for his parents. I think thats pretty unbelievable.</p>
