I want to tell my school that I don’t want to convey the message that I didn’t review the common app, because I reviewed it like 50 times but somehow missed the typo. If I call them, is there anything they can do to help?
You are fine! Don’t worry about one typo. I
I’m sure they’re more concerned about the context of your application rather than one mistake. If the rest of your application has good grammar they’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you can write… everyone makes mistakes.
Let it go. It is just a typo
Don’t contact the school.
This question literally comes up hundreds of times each year. It’s not a big deal. If colleges, including Harvard, rejected every applicant with a typo, they would not be able to fill their class.

“Can I?” Well, yes. Should you? Nope. How good an impression would it make, to call their attention to a one letter mistake?
You have a lot of “urgent” threads. At some point, it’s ok to relax.
Won’t the typo hurt my chances at getting a scholarship from the school? Or will they just overlook it?
No matter how many different ways you ask the question, the answer won’t change. Which is a good thing. Do you really want someone to tell you that your chances were tanked by a typo?
