I hate college

This. It’s less painful to assume that there are less, but more persistent idiots than a whole tsunami of stupid. I do feel like sending him a big ‘LOL FAIL’ for logging on and defending his own ■■■■■ account. But I won’t. Because I’m nice :)

I can’t say if Darko is or is not an idiot, but you, MissSilvestries, are an idiot if you think I am an idiot just because I hate college. Not all people who hate college struggle academically or lack intelligence.

Raefless, what college are you currently attending?

A good one. But I won’t tell you its name.

Oh, then you should be proud of yourself! Not all college degrees are made equal- so be glad that you’re attending a respectable school. Good luck!

And idiots aren’t just the people who are struggling academically. You, sir, are an idiot, grades aside. So please don’t labor under the delusion that I’m questioning your academic abilities. I’m questioning your intellect :)

Because that makes perfect sense.

^I wouldn’t expect you to understand nuances. Go play nice until the grown-ups are done, dear.

Because grown ups have nothing better to do than get into ****ing matches on the internet!

this is pretty funny…

Stop whining. Go out, get some drinkies in you, and have a night of meaningless sex. Repeat 2-3 times a week and then come back and talk to us if you still hate college.

Gill, in your short time here, all you’ve done is complain about classes, complain about frat parties, and whine about how you’ve never cheated on some open-notes quiz. How do you expect people to react to those posts?

You come off as really stupid and annoying yourself; don’t blame it on the so-called “elitists.”

i feel it too: Image;

"And idiots aren’t just the people who are struggling academically. You, sir, are an idiot, grades aside. So please don’t labor under the delusion that I’m questioning your academic abilities. I’m questioning your intellect "

My intellect is superior, as I have consistently demonstrated throughout this thread. You just lack the mental capacity to appreciate it.

Bro, if it was so great then you’d realize that college degrees are just the new high school diploma. Back in the day it used to be that you could have a pretty decent job with just a diploma. Eventually there were so many people with diplomas that you had to get a college degree to stand out. Now it’s becoming where you gotta get a graduate degree (unless you networked during your undergrad years and got a foot in the door somewhere, in which case it’s not very important).

I haven’t read most of this thread, but how could posting on an internet forum demonstrate anything substantial about your intellect?

You seriously have no interest in anything? Most colleges are big enough to find people with common interests or a club related to something you might like. Sorry, I don’t think there is such a thing as a person who has no passion in anything.
So what if everyone and their mother can get a college degree these days? To me that just means that I get to meet more people who may be coincidentally interesting instead of just a bunch of lame-ass elitists. Of course anyone can get a degree, but not everyone does the same things with it. College degrees are versatile if you give college a chance.
Then again, if you hate it that much, just leave. It’s not like you’re gonna fail at life if you don’t go to college.

I have interests, just not to the point of being obsessed with them. Also, just because I am interested in something doesn’t mean that I have to join a club.

I enjoy learning. I enjoy studying. What I meant to say when I said “I hate college” is “I hate college life”, “I hate the college experience”. I never said I hate academics.

I don’t have any talent or skill. I don’t have a network of people eager to give me jobs. I don’t have a strong work ethic.

I think that I would fail at life if I don’t go to college. The reverse is not necessarily true, but it’s clearly a better alternative, even taking into account that college life and the prospects of finding a decent job after graduation suck.

Without a strong work ethic you won’t get too far regardless of a degree. I’ll take a hardworking graduate from Oklahoma State over a lazy Yale student who’s never worked a day in his life any day of the week.

Maybe what you need is some sort of different independence. If you commuted to school (as a commuter student obviously), you wouldn’t have to be in the whole “college life” thing. And if you lived on your own, paying bills on your own (after securing a job of course) you’d probably get a good work ethic out of it.

If you own a company and you are concerned with productivity, and you have the choice of hiring either a hard working graduate from Oklahoma State or a lazy graduate from Yale university, but the Yale graduate, lazy as he is, can produce more than the hardworking graduate from Oklahoma State, because of his high intellect, you wouldn’t be better off not hiring the Yale graduate.
