~!~I hate my college counselor. Question regarding an Extracurricular~!~

Okay, so i'm apply to SAS ED. My extracurriculars are very weak. However, I have an activity which I think would look unique, but which my college counselor says i shouldn't list. The activity is Upland Bird Hunting. My counselor says that the admissions officers will look with disgust on this, and that it would just hurt me. However, this is something which i invest a lot of my time in (10 weeks/year, 20 hours/week), and i think might look good in light of my lack of other good activities. What do you guys think? Should I risk it?

P.S. I've asked this question in a few other forums, but i was thinking i might get a better response in the penn forum.

I'd add it onto your EC list. If it's really important to you I would also try to write an essay about it. I would focus more on leadership, survival, animal rights, and other positive aspects that can come from the activity. Don't just say "I kill birds. Killing birds is fun." I can't see why adcoms at Penn would dislike a hunter. If anything that's diversity.
