<p>The UCs and a few other schools (like Northwestern) look at best single sitting instead of superscoring. You can contact your target schools to ask how they look at SATs. They ought to be forthcoming with information about whether or not they superscore. Since the writing section is relatively new some schools do not consider it or weight it less heavily than the other sections (alas, neither of my daughter's schools look at it and it's her highest score.) Again, feel free to ask your target schools. </p>
<p>A 680 in writing puts you in the 94th percentile of all college bound seniors (710 is 97th.)</p>
<p>These scores are fine. Though no one should look down upon you for trying again, a difference in 50 points or so won't make or break an acceptance.</p>
<p>2220 is fine. I know someone with that exact score (she only took the SAT once) who got into Pomona, Middlebury, Vassar and William and Mary this past year. So sweat it not.</p>
