I was planning to attend UCLA as an art major, but i was just unwaitlisted for design at CMU. I was originally accepted for art at CMu with a 15k scholarship, but i declined for ucla. Now im thinking a degree in design would be way more marketable. Then again its only undergraduate... Does anyone have any info on cmu design, such as admission statistics and the quality of the education? I only have one day to decide... and thats minus the 3 hr time difference.. :(

cost difference?
Which one is closer to where you live/where you will want to work?

the cost difference is around 15k/yr. LA is definitely more of where i want to be. im thinking i wont have much of a social/college life at cmu, but the major is perfect. its almost like college life vs degree. ;(((((((((( even though cmu is not where i want to work, i will pursue a grad degree where i want to

Which one is 15k more per year?

The best way to think about it: If you turn down CMU, will you always look back later and think “what if?” If so, I would say go to CMU. If not, then it doesn’t really matter, does it?
