I have a 1.5 gpa, any 4 year universities in the states that will give me a chance.

I have a 1.5 GPA as a senior and really would rather go straight into a 4 year university than community college and transferring. My study habits are great and I am confident that I can handle the rigger of a 4 year university and excel.

What’s your total high school GPA and SAT/ACT? Why is your senior year GPA 1.5?

Well must be spring break somewhere.

The rigor of your high school curriculum is important.

With a 1.5, I think the rigor of a CC may be too much for you to handle.

Colleges in general want to admit students who can succeed. if you have a <2.0 GPA in college they will ask you to leave.

I would apply to my CC and also any smaller less selective in state schools and see what happens.

Not sure if this helps http://gpacalculator.net/gpa-scale/1-5-gpa/

But honestly, I’d suggest you go to a CC first and then transfer. You don’t want to get into a 4 year university and find out you can’t handle or manage it. Have you thought about majors? Finances?

Something doesn’t add up. Why is your current GPA a 1.5 if your “study habits are great”? How does a that 1.5 make you confident that you can excel at a 4-yr university? Will you even graduate HS this Spring?

There is obviously more to the story that needs to be addressed first, either through personal habits/discipline, tutoring, counseling, etc.

the kid is making fun of you guys…

Uhh, yeah, not to put you down or anything like that, but I think with a 1.5 GPA you definitely should clean up those “great study habits” and make them even greater. How do you know you can handle a rigorous college curriculum with grades like that?
