i have a 3.67 gpa as a sophomore in high school. questions

i recently received my gpa from school and it says i have a 3.67 unweighted gpa. im in 2 pre ap classes and 1 AP class and I made straight A's this past year.
do you think i have any chance in making it into a good college? i used to want to go to medical school or become a pharmacist when I'm older but i dont know if i'll ever be able to. if i continue to take advanced classes does anyone think i can get a better gpa and eventually be able to go to a medical or pharmacist school?

“Good college” could mean a lot of things. Colleges aren’t good or bad based on their reputation or competitiveness, but rather how well they fit you.

A 3.67 is high enough to give you a shot at many schools. If you’re aiming for an Ivy league level the average is much higher as is the average for some state schools. But you’re only a sophomore, and gpa wise junior year is the most important usually.

There’s more to a person than gpa (and more to the college application process). GPA isn’t everything, don’t forget that!

Thank you. You make me feel a lot better. :)

Your GPA is best understood in the context of your HS. Are the “pre AP” classes weighted like an honors class? How much weight does your school give to an AP class?
Your high school’s college counseling office can show you this year’s school profile, which will explain whether your high school ranks or what the GPA decile bands are for the current senior class.
