Okay, so, I'm doing ED to Haverford College, but, of course, one of my teachers did not submit the rec into the mail until the day before all materials were due at the college (Dec 2nd). This was sent in Tuesday of last week. However, according to the college's website checklist, they have not recieved my 2nd rec yet. Since the distance from New York city to around Philadelphia isn't that great, I'm starting to panic a bit. Is it possible that the letter is still being processed, or got lost in the mail, or etc? I emailed the school last week to inform them that the teacher had sent in the rec and they thanked me for the reply but nothing else yet. I checked with my teacher on Wednesday to make sure he sent in the rec. Should I email my guidance counselor, or the college again, or the teacher?

Most colleges, especially around due dates, are flooded with mail. They have to sort out thousands of letters and packages, so this could be the reason why nothing has shown up to indicate materials were received. Talk with your counselor and teacher, again, to confirm that your materials were sent. It doesn’t hurt to nudge them along, because, after all, this is your future we’re talking about, haha.

Okay thanks so much, that’s such a relief. Ah yeah I know, sometimes I feel a bit awkward bugging them but I’ll check again (:
