Okay: Yesterday I went on the checklist for my ED school and I was surprised to see that my teacher's letter hadn't been entered. I knew my teacher had sent the rec because I gave him a thank you note a week before the rec was due and he acknowledged he submitted it. I thought it was just taking some time to enter into the checklist so I waited until they updated a couple days after the submission date. I called the school to ask why it hadn't been posted and they let me know that it hadn't come in.
I went to talk to my teacher and it turns out he sent the rec A MONTH AGO. So now I'm pretty much sure the rec got lost in the mail. I'm going to have have my teacher send a copy of it tomorrow and it should be there by this weekend but its still a week after the deadline... I'm really worried because this is my dream school. Do you think they'll understand about the rec being late? I think the letter is just completely lost in the mail so should I write an email explaining what happened?

It happened to me too. I just found out on Friday. -- My teacher like totally forgot about it. ED was 11/1. -___________-

I emailed BU, and they said they were still accepting stuff. Then, I found out my transcript was STILL missing. I told my counselor a week ago about that issue. Each time I want to see her, she's not there. I am so annoyed!

Give your school a call or email them. :T I hope everything will be okay.

^^^ Oh my gosh I know what you mean! I think I'll call tomorrow morning. I hope everything turns out okay with BU for you too!

Call the university first to ask if they received it or not, their priority is getting apps done, not updating the application status page.

^^^ I called and they said they only got one of my recs and he sent it in october so I'm pretty sure it got lost though.
