I would like to apply to Brown or Dartmouth ED, but my SAT scores are only 2130. I will retake in Nov., and i expect to get at least 2250. So, should i wait to retake the SAT and apply regular decision or should I apply ED with my current SAT scores? Moreover, if i get deferred, can I update my SAT scores after I take them so i have a better score for regular decision? My breakdown:
770 v
710m
650w

spend the time concentrating on ECs and your essay (it will take you FOREVER and you will go through about 80 drafts, no exaggeration) - dont waste your time and stress out on only one component (and not even the most important one at that) of your application

2130 really isn't too bad. Eighty drafts of an essay?? I just wrote it really quickly and then changed a couple of things. It took a day. It sounds better that way; it will sound more genuine, which is what adcoms want.

damn, youll never get into Brown with a 2130, thats impossible!
jk, stop stressing...If you have the grades, the essays, good recs, special EC's I assure you, youll get in. Everyone has the SAT scores you know? I mean they arent going to say well he has a 2100 but the other guy has a 2250 so lets accept the 2250 guy. frankly, I think it all comes down to ECs and essays. Good luck lol.

yeah, ONLY 2130? alright, is this some sort of CC Sydrome (like I personally call it?) LOL JK OP 2130 is such a good grade. Just don't streess out too much. I know brown applicants, many of them have 2200+. you're close to 2200 and that's marvelous. Work on your essays, they're importnat! GLUCK!
