SATs and early decision

I want to apply to Brown early decision. That means I have to have everything mailed by November 1st.

I took the SAT today (june 2) and I think I did reasonably well. I know I broke 2000 but I'd love to be in the 2200-2300 range. Anyways, the next test date is October 6th, if I wanted to retake. However, Brown requires two SAT II scores...which I haven't gotten yet.

The next test date is November 3rd. Would Brown accept the November SAT II scores if I retook the SAT I in October? Or should I stick with whatever I got today and just take the SAT II in October?

Sorry if it's a confusing question...

Brown's website will tell you exactly which dates they do and do not accept for ED. If you can't find it there, their admissions office will tell you. Anything that anyone else on this board tells you is anectodatal and may or may not be true. If you're smart enough to apply to Brown, you're smart enough to do the research.

You can pay extra and have the fall scores sent in faster than usual. Call Brown and make sure and then call College Board and set it up.

Well sorry Chedva, that I've never applied to college before. Don't need to get uppity about it. This is an open forum. Thank you anyways.

I'm sure many people have had this same experience and I just wanted to hear how they handled it.

Sorry if you think I was uppity. My point, though, is that no one else's experience matters. They'll either take the score or they won't. You need to ask them; they're the only ones who actually know. This one is an easy question to ask.
