I am currently taking AP Calculus AB class in my school. But I wanted to take AP calc bc Class but they didn't allow me. So I decided to take AP calculus BC exam instead of AB.

Q1) am I allowed to take BC exam even though I have AB class at my school? I heard that if i had AB class at school I would receive score of 0 on BC exam

Did anyone face this situation before?

not true. many ppl take the AB class (usually because their school does not have BC, like mine) and study BC on their own before the exam. The truth is there is no requirement whatsoever to take an AP test. you could take the AP Physics exam whether you learned it or not (not recommended lol).

Even if you studied absolutely zero material from the BC course material (not recommended), a student who could earn a 5 on the AB exam would likely earn a 3 or a 4 on the AB exam (depending on the strength of the 5).

I’ve not heard of a score of 0 on an AP Exam before. Pretty sure you earn a 1 for bubbling your name properly and doing nothing else, so I’m not sure how this would happen.
