if i havnt recieved a response from nyu's CAS as of saturday july 14th do i even have a chance of acceptance? Obviously i applied as a transfer.

i heard transfers hear the latest, but i don't know about the deadline. if you didn't get in they would send you a letter as well as if you got in. just keep calling if your really anxious about it. you'll eventually get through. or try emailing, b/c that usually gets a quicker response.

No chance of acceptance. Logical choice at this point would be to kill self.

hth.

ouch.....my logic behind the question/concern was whether or not other students have had to wait as long, classes do begin in a month and a half.

any others want to provide insight? Please?

Oh man, Honestly I think you would have heard by now. I applied to a different school, Steinhardt also as a transfer and I heard from them along time ago. Actually heard from the financial aid first, then received mail from them almost every week afterwards. They had two orientations for transfers to Steinhardt, one during June and another in July( I think there is one final day for orientation during Aug). That is when we registered and many classes were already closed out because we were like the last ones to register since it is already July and current students got first dibs at it. It would be nice if you at least heard if you were put on some waiting list or something, perhaps depending on whether anyone accepted decides not to go there at the last minute. That is what happened to my friend at Pace and got in at the last minute. Good Luck!
