It is the best prep book for the APUSH exam that I have seen so far, easily defeating the AMSCO book, which had generally been considered to be the best book before the release of the Direct Hits Book. The DH Book looks at released AP and SAT II exams in order to determine the information that is tested the most. After that, unlike AMSCO, it only included information likely to be on the test. Because of this, the content review is only 279 pages long, as opposed to the 500+ pages of AMSCO. The only problem I have with this book is that there are some annoying typos, but those are minor. I would heartily recommend this book for the APUSH students. Though you can no longer order a complimentary copy, you can order a copy here: [Amazon.com: Direct Hits US History in a Flash: for the AP and SAT II (9781936551040): Larry Krieger, Ted Griffith: Books](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1936551047/ref=s9_simh_gw_p14_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=102015PTQ5CK68NJEBRV&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846)

Since you are a reviewer I hope you have sent those typos to Mr. Griffith. I am about half way through and I agree with your review. There are great tips in boxes on the side for what you need to know and what is not important for the exam. I am also learning to use AP Central which is awesome, since my teacher doesn’t use it.

I happened to read a review for the PR APUSH book and it says that is is full of errors, some of them factual. I guess they don’t use good reviewers like us! LOL

Yes, I have used the review link on the sheet of paper that came with the book to send the typos I found. I gave him 3 examples, though I think there were more(but I couldn’t find the other ones at the moment).

I got this book for my daughter, who is worried that it hasn’t been battle-tested; she wonders if there is another book that will give her chapter questions and sample tests, since this one doesn’t have them.

^There are some great APUSH tips on the US History in a Flash Fan page on FB and they have page numbers that link with the book. There are 100 mutliple choice questions on the Direct Hits Education website that were just posted.

Mr. Krieger has written other AP study guides. I used his AP European book last year and got a 5. I have also used his Direct Hits vocabulary books which were very helpful on the SAT. The book may be new but the author is battle tested.
