Hey, I've been thinking for 2 years and I still don't know what to major in. I wanted to do something medical for a long time but it's only for the money and status. My parents want me to be a dentist but I dont even know. The reason I picked business is because my friend's told me it's what most people pick who don't know what to do or people looking for an easy way to finish college.
Im a shy guy, I don't talk much and don't do very well with group work. I'm more of an anti social person not by choice but by anxiety. I don't think I'll get over it any time soon. I was hoping someone can help me figure out what to major in. My counselor did his best to help me but he ended up telling me to just take general ed classes. I want to finish in 3 years because I plan on taking summer classes and I have about 18 college credits already.
I'm really not interested in much, and I have no clue what I want to do. I know anti social people will usually do something like computer science or programming but I'm really not into that kind of stuff I just like to use my computer but I'm not interested in punching codes in or altering things on it.
I was really interested in finance or accounting because you they have a very nice earning potential and they require basic math which I can do (I barely get by with things like pre-calculus and algebra so if that's part of accounting I will fail), Im also good with memorization which is another thing you need to be able to do as an accountant.
I'm just not a people person and I'm not only concerned about working but also college. I'm concerned about public speaking class and having to do presentations along with group work. Those are things I'm really worried about. Would it even be right for me to go to college if I have this severe phobia?
Even things like psychology require presentations and public speaking class. I really can't do it. I'm not trolling I'm serious.
I don't know what to do, I'm a decent student and got into 3 colleges already but I've been putting them off for a while. If this is in the wrong thread please move it, I didn't know where else to list it.

Well, you could consider going into a sort of research oriented career, or a type of analyst. If you are interested in business though accounting would most likely be a good choice. I think it only uses basic math so that’s good. Sorry I’m not of much help but being a researcher or a data analyst may be things you could look into?

Thanks I guess I’ll look into those things.
