I have to ask this...

I'm perceived as anti social while I'm really not. I guess my accent and inherent awkwardness causes some problems. But after 3 years of HS in the US nothing has changed. I've started college at a semi prestigious party school but 2 weeks in I haven't been to a single party despite asking people to include me if they go to any. My few friends who do party seems to be unwilling to let me tag along, the rest of them have no interest in partying whatsoever. So I'm stuck in my dorm hating college to the max. I'm trying for med school but probably won't make it that far, which brings me to my question. Most of the people on cc who are striving for med school or have made it to med school/graduate schools- how social were you in college and how many parties/ social events et al did you go to? I feel my life sucks and I want to transfer to a college where my closest friends are so that I can atleast be happier despite the fact that the college I want to transfer to is a third tier u lol.

don't ask people, just go

So I'm a loser for all purposes?

Honestly,I am a real loser myself but I'm pretty comfortable with it.

If you feel comfortable with that college, you should probably transfer there.

Why do you want to go to parties? You can have just as much fun with a group of friends and not going to huge parties. But if you want to, just go. Nobody's going to stop you (most times).

I have a huge network of friends, but I never go to any parties. They're just not my thing. Trust me, you'll find your niche in school. Besides, being "popular" is overrated :).
