I have to decide between two schools in 10 days. Please help!

it is october. how is it a rush decision? ED?

I have applied early decision. I will update on results come the 15th of december. Thanks for the help everyone!

Very happy to say I was accepted to Oberlin College!

In the end I felt that I could be happy and successful at either school, though a few things about Oberlin made it feel like it was a superior choice for me personally, though perhaps only slightly.

-The art scene seems more pronounced, and the presence of the museum seemed to indicate the Visual Art and Art History programs could be stronger.

-The size seems more comfortable at Oberlin, and the class offerings seem greater.

-Considering the location, the fact that there are tons of Conservatory events should keep life a bit more eventful.

The culture rich experience was simply too great to make me comfortable with not at least giving it a shot.

To anyone else who finds themselves this situation, you should feel safe and secure in narrowing your choice down to such great schools. The academic reputation and strength is good enough that the only thing that would ever hold you back is your own drive and determination. Additionally your peers will most likely be as motivated as you are.

Thanks to everyone who has given me advice on this forum. Good luck to all!

Congrats Beatlemania88. Oberlin is a dynamic and creative place that knows what it stands for and what it values. I wish you the very best. It is an amazing place!

Congrats. I loved Oberlin, as I said, and discovered so much there that has kept me going my entire career.

That is wonderful news. Congratulations! Several wonderful kids from our community have also been accepted early to Oberlin. Oberlin has so much so offer that you will certainly have a rich four years there. And you have shown here thoughtfulness, maturity, flexibility, humility, and obvious intelligence that will serve you well anywhere you land, but I’m sure that there will be the special kind of alchemy you seek at Oberlin :).
Best wishes for an exciting and fruitful college experience.
