I submitted my ED application on October 27th, and I have yet to be contacted for an interview. Is this the kind of thing I should request from the Admissions Office, or will I be okay with out one? I am getting sort of nervous about it...

They only have the ability to grant interviews to ~50% of people who apply, so I’m pretty sure they really don’t help much in the admissions process. Also, they might still in the process of contacting people for interviews.

btw, I have yet to be contacted either :/

i haven’t been contacted either. has anyone been contacted?

From what I’ve been hearing from people, interviews don’t hurt if you don’t get one.

However, if you’re among the group that DO get an interview, it can sway your application one way or the other, especially for ED applicants.

be patient

and, you cannot request an interview, unless you are applying to nursing

just got my email!

my interviewer e-mailed me five days after i submitted my app
but i think it goes by convenience… if it just so happens that there’s an alum in your area who’s willing to interview.

yeah i havent received one and i really want to. oh well we must be patient

I’m in a weird situation… My interviewer contacted me at noon on Saturday and I replied in the evening… And he hasn’t replied ever since. The date I proposed is this Wednesday… Should I contact him again or not?

I havent been contacted yet and I live in an area with more than enough alums hahaha

Remember there are only so many interviewers. They can only meet with one person at a time, and it’s unrealistic for them to get to one person every day. They’ll be contacting people all throughout November, so you still have time. If you get one, you get one. If not, there’s no penalty against you.

I and many others got in ED sans interview. If you don’t get an interview, don’t sweat it. It can only affect your application if you get one.

I’m a little worried too. My friend already finished his interview, and he only lives an hour away…

Don’t worry - there were 4 candidates from our school, and I just got a phone call (the other 3 already had interviews.)
