Does that mean anything? I am from Maryland where I assume there should be some alums available for interviews. Does that mean I've been rejected already?

no, idea. i was contacted a week after i sent my app in December. I’m from Maryland too

It doesn’t mean anything at all, people get interviewed at all sorts of different times in the process. I didn’t get contacted for an interview until mid to late March, and I graduated from Harvard last June. No worries. :)

i just got contacted for an interview today. don’t worry. and even if you don’t have one it’s fine.

Last year at this time our S had not been contacted by Harvard for an interview either. A parent of a Harvard student had posted in a CC Harvard thread that his/her kid had not been contacted for an interview until later in March, which was reassuring.

Our son was contacted by a Harvard alum last March 15 to set up an interview, and had the interview a few days later. He got an acceptance email from Harvard on the last day of March, and is a Harvard freshman now. I am posting this info this year to pay that other Harvard parent’s assurances forward.

thank you so much for all the kind posts here. For most of the schools they require alums to hand in interview report by feb. 27. so I assume the interview must be over by now.

I’ve headed a regional alumni inteviewing committee for Harvard. Due to a shortage of alumni interviewers, we’ve interviewed applicants as late as mid March. When students got interviewed was random.
