Can’t wait to go and eat!!! :)

Woo hoo!

Can’t wait to go and eat!!! :)

Woo hoo!

you seem really excited so hate do this but...
i think you've been misinformed

then again, four years of eating at the ratty can leave you a bit jaded :)

When I visited Brown, students told me the food was so-so, but others have told me it's pretty darn good.

no matter how good the food is at any university, 4 years of eating it makes it not seem so good. :)

Brown students used to ( and I think still do) have the choice of eating at RISD--Rhode Island School of Design-- right next door to the campus. Their food is really really good!

Well, from my experiences over the summer, the V Dub was so-so, the Ratty was decent, but for REAL food, Thayer St. is where it's at.

Hahaha oh well.. whatever. food is still food. and I love it :)

I'm sure any food is better than my school food now.. :)

"I'm sure any food is better than my school food now.."

haha, amen to that!! someone was bounces the food off the wall today ... mystery meat (well it was supposed to be roast beef)... thank god i'm a vegan. lol

the food was okay at first. then it began to really wear on me.

for college food standards, though, it's acceptable.

i like your sn lunch..

if i were to choose i'd be brunch

I ate brown food for one whole week .. and i must say that its better than the Upenn Food

heheheheheh

I'm a freshman, and I get the feeling that the food has seen much improvement just in this past year. I quite like it, especially "Roots and Shoots," which is a new vegetarian/vegan line where I often eat despite my being an omnivore usually. I imagine if that option werent there I wouldnt like eating at the Ratty so much, but it makes it quite acceptable in my eyes.

When I visited our tour guide said that the food used to be pretty bad but that they were trying to make it better -- when we were there, they were doing a farmer's market thing which I thought was pretty nifty...

farmer's market.....nice!

How is the weather in Providence?

I think people usually are just used to complaining about school food. People at my school complain but I actually like school lunch! Brown isn't really known for good or bad food though...

in all honesty, zantedeschia pretty much hit the nail on the head. brown isn't particularly known for good food, but it certainly isn't bad.
the ratty and v-dub both serve a wide variety of fairly average food (except on the random occasions they decide to throw "theme" nights in which case the food can be amazing)
the other campus eateries have much better food than the main dining halls
you can't go wrong with the ivy room, jo's (josiah's), the blue room, or the gate
