I just spoke with a recent Dartmouth alum, asking for what she thought of her undergrad experience. She said that, overall, it was fantastic; however, she also said that the party scene "shuts down" on Saturday nights. Apparently Friday nights are really the only party nights for the students.

Now, I'm a pretty social fellow. I'm looking for a well-rounded, fun college experience, and this has put a huge damper on my opinion of Dartmouth.

Would anyone mind providing feedback as to the validity of this claim?

…Saturday nights are big nights too. Fridays are probably a little bigger, especially on big weekends. But by no means are Fridays the only party nights.

Yeah Sat nights are hopping as well.

people usually worry about the prevalence of the party scene, not the lack of it. you can party as hard or as little as you want whenever…

thanks for your feedback; that makes me feel much better!

Saturday night shuts down?! Hardly…Fridays are bigger maybe, but there are good parties both nights. And even if there isn’t a dance party, pong is still going on everywhere.
